I live in Fleet, Hampshire with my husband and two children. I have an MSc from Loughborough University in Psychology and Physiology, graduating in 1990. I am also a Master of Neuro Linguistic Programming, a Nutritional Therapist, a biomechanics professional making custom moulded insoles and an experienced Public Speaker. In my youth I was a national squad gymnast and an accomplished heptathlete. I have worked in the health and wellness industry since 1990.
Just prior to the birth of my two children, in 2002 and 2004, I set up my own coaching business working with clients on a 1-2-1 basis, as well as in small or large groups, specialising in the fields of anxiety and pain management. However, I battled with my own health for many years and for at least 15 years I suffered from a number of conditions: Reynaulds, anaemia, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, panic attacks, back ache, headaches, chronic fatigue, anxiety and bouts of depression. In 2017, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, Sjorgrens, and was prescribed daily immune suppressants, anti-inflammatories and co-codomol. I decided that I wanted to come off my medication and heal myself through food, so I trained as a Nutritional Therapist and totally changed the way I ate. Within 3 months I was off all medication and within 12 months I was free from all mental and physical pain.
I use my skills, knowledge and experience as a Nutritional Therapist and NLP Coach, using food as medicine and tools of NLP to heal my clients, putting them on the road to recovery and optimum health. However, the information I give is not medical advice, so if you have any medical concerns, you should consult your doctor before making any changes to your diet, exercise, drugs or supplements.
I am committed to my own Continued Professional Development, regularly reading books, studying research papers and attending meetings and conferences to keep up-to-date with the latest research in the fields that I operate.
