Nutritional Therapy

Nutritional Therapy is a natural and holistic healing approach based on scientifically proven facts that our food provides us with everything we need to obtain and maintain an optimal state of health.

I believe that the majority of our health conditions that we suffer from today are as a result of our stressful lifestyles and poor diet. Hippocrates once said “Let food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food”. I truly believe that we can reduce the symptoms and sometimes totally heal many of our modern-day disorders - obesity, cancers, auto-immune, digestive disorders, mental health conditions - through food. In fact, I am living proof of this fact and so are many of my clients.

I have worked with clients with obesity, diabetes, autoimmune, menopausal issues and mental health problems and have significantly reduced, or even eliminated, their symptoms purely by making changes to what they eat.

 As a therapist of nutrition my aim is to uncover the root causes of your symptoms and then treat the cause and not the symptom in order to prevent disease and promote optimum health and wellbeing.

Who can benefit from nutritional therapy?

Everyone can benefit from children to the elderly. Nutritional therapy is becoming a popular option with parents who have a child that is overweight or has behavioural problems, as opposed to taking prescription medications.

Our bodies are made up of trillions of cells all in need of nourishment, and the correct balance of vitamins, minerals, fats, proteins, carbohydrates and water is needed in order to keep us in a state of good health.

Whether you feel healthy or suffer from any of the conditions listed, nutritional therapy will help improve energy levels, increase mental clarity and reduce pain in the body.

If I were to work with you, I would devise a personalised treatment programme which would include the following:

  • An initial assessment to determine history, symptoms and lifestyle
  • A short food diary
  • What foods to reduce or eliminate and what foods to start or increase
  • What to have for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks
  • A weekly diet plan
  • Realistic dietary supplements if required
  • How to remove toxins from your body
  • Practical advise on shopping and cooking (visits to the shops and to homes to cook can be arranged)
  • Mental health exercises
  • Your physical exercise programme


No matter what age you are or what state of health you are currently in, the aim would be (working with your GP) to get you off your medication and give you back your mental clarity, energy, slim waistline and pain-free joints.
